Asante Kotoko SC head coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum, attributed his team’s recent 1-0 home loss to Heart of Lions in the Ghana Premier League to fatigue.
The Porcupine Warriors suffered consecutive defeats, first to Legon Cities and then to Heart of Lions, in what has been a challenging week.
Ogum believes the team’s demanding travel schedule took a toll on the players.
“I don’t give excuses but then it is so obvious,” Ogum said at post match interview.
“Look at the journey to Anyinase, nine to 10 hours, I think it was fatigue that was on our part.
“I think we look slow, very tired on the field. I think the stress of the journey [caused the tiredness].
Kotoko now sit third in the league standings with 15 points after nine games and will face Bechem United in their next fixture.
