Hearts of Oak board member Dr. Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe has thrown his support behind embattled coach Aboubakar Ouattara despite growing pressure from fans calling for his sack.
The Ivorian trainer is facing intense criticism following the Phobians’ dismal start to the 2024/2025 Ghana Premier League season, losing two consecutive matches.
They suffered a 1-0 defeat to Basake Holy Stars before a 2-0 loss to Heart of Lions, prompting fans to call for Ouattara’s dismissal.
However, Dr. Tamakloe has cautioned against hasty decisions, backing the coach to turn the team’s fortunes around.
“I totally disagree with fans calling for the sack of coach Aboubakar Ouattara. He has been given a contract . And he has been given free hand to select players to work with. If Hearts of Oak loss two games doesnt mean the coach has failed” he told Angel FM.
They now languish at the bottom of the Ghana Premier League standings.
