Ghanaian-born Belgian winger Francis Amuzu’s injury woes continued on Saturday as he limped off the field during Anderlecht’s match against KV Mechelen.

The 23-year-old suffered a sharp thigh pain and was forced to exit the game after just 57 minutes.

Amuzu had made a promising start to the match, scoring his first goal of the season in the 50th minute with a brilliant strike from a tight angle.

However, his departure due to injury overshadowed his earlier contribution.

This latest setback adds to Amuzu’s troubling injury history, which includes pubalgia and a recent ankle issue during pre-season.
