2021/22 Ghana Premier League: Week 32 Match Report-Gold Stars 3-4 WAFA –

WAFA staged a strong comeback to beat Gold Stars 3-2 at the Dun’s Park in Bibiani on Sunday, 05 June 2022, to boost their chances for surviving in the Ghana Premier League.

The hosts raced a two-zero lead in the first half lead through Prince Opoku Agyemnag and Kingsford Boafo in the 13th and 29th minutes respectively.

But after the break, WAFA turned on their machinery and won a penalty which was converted by substitute Marvin Owusu.

Emmanuel Agyemang Ofori pulled the visitors level on 70 minutes and just a minute later they were in the lead for the first time.

Teenager Emmanuel Intori stepped up and found the back of the net to make it 3-2 for WAFA.

But Gold Stars fought back through Dzia Ull Haqq to cancel out that goal with three minutes away from regulation time.

WAFA did not give up as they as they snatched the match winner at the death.
