Mohamed Salah strike wins Premier League Goal of the Season

Mohamed Salah’s goal vs Manchester City has been voted the Premier League’s Goal of the Season for 2021/22. 

The Liverpool star won the award after showing sublime skill and strength to weave past three players, before twisting and turning past a fourth and drilling a shot beyond Ederson from a tight angle with his right foot. 

Salah beat off competition from Miguel Almiron, Danny Ings, Mateo Kovacic, Alexandre Lacazette, Rodri, Cristiano Ronaldo, Heung-min Son, Andros Townsend, and Wilfried Zaha to land the accolade.

The award caps off a sensational season for the Egyptian, who also won the Castrol Golden Boot for the most goals and the Playmaker prize for providing the highest number of assists. 

He finished the season as an FA Cup and Carling Cup champion while was runners-up in the Premier League before losing in the Champions League final against Real Madrid on Saturday night.
