Head coach of Real Tamale United, Abdul Mumin Abdulai is urgently calling for financial support to address the club’s monetary woes.
Abdulai revealed that the team’s players boycotted Wednesday’s training session due to unpaid salaries and bonuses, just ahead of their crucial Ghana Premier League match against Heart of Lions this weekend.
“Some of us can’t say anything, but the players have a weapon and are refusing to train, which speaks volumes to me. We’re trying to figure out how to put our heads together with a little psychology,” he said.
Despite the financial difficulties, Abdulai remains optimistic about the team’s chances to avoid relegation, provided that support arrives promptly.
Real Tamale United currently languishes at the bottom of the league table with just 18 points from 19 games.
