Ghana Premier League: Kotoko want to avoid complacency in the second round – Kwasi Appiah

A Member of Asante Kotoko’s Interim Management Committee, Kwasi Appiah, says the club will look to avoid complacency in the second round of the Ghana Premier League.

Bottom of the table Heart of Lions will host the third placed Porcupine Warriors at the Kpando Sports Stadium on Saturday.

“We did not start on a good note. We will learn from our mistakes and do away with complacency.

“We will make sure the second round, we are going all out. I’ll not say we will win the title, but we will try to win.

“If we win the title, it’s a plus, if we don’t, as Otumfuo said we are building a team [for the future].”

The Porcupine Warriors were on a seven-game unbeaten streak before the first round break.

Asante Kotoko are third on the league log with 29 points, three behind leaders FC Samartex, who will play away at Aduana FC on Monday.
