Manchester United are set for an important few days ahead as they prepare for talks over hiring Dan Ashworth.
And, according to Fabrizio Romano on his official account on X, formerly Twitter, the Red Devils also want to bring in Jason Wilcox from Southampton as another key appointment to revamp their board and recruitment team.

Ashworth has already accepted, United will now insist in negotiations with Newcastle to agree on compensation.

Ashworth has long been highly regarded in the game, and Newcastle will surely be very disappointed to lose his expertise as they look to catch up with clubs like United and others in the big six.
MUFC fans will no doubt hope this can be done quickly, with Ashworth and Wilcox looking ideal to help rebuild this team after a difficult spell since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement in 2013.
