Manchester United linked with €70m-rated centre-back Gleison Bremer

According to Calciomercato, Manchester United are gearing up to make a move for Juventus center-back Gleison Bremer in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Despite signing a new long-term contract with the Bianconeri in December last year, speculation surrounding Bremer’s potential summer departure persists. Manchester United have closely observed the Brazilian over recent months and have already begun taking concrete steps to assess the player’s willingness to make a move.

Nevertheless, Juventus are adamant about selling him only for the appropriate sum. Intermediaries have relayed to Man United that it will require €70m to sway the Turin giants. Bremer has been singled out as the most suitable candidate to bolster United’s defence.

Manager Erik ten Hag may be seeking a robust center-back with a strong fitness track record to bolster the club’s defensive line. Bremer emerges as an ideal signing for United ahead of the upcoming season.

The Red Devils have struggled to establish a cohesive defensive unit this season, with frequent changes in the central defensive partnership due to numerous injuries. Bremer could potentially serve as a replacement for Raphael Varane, whose contract is set to expire at the end of June, potentially leading him to depart on a free transfer.
