Ghanaian attacker Malik Abubakari has shared his excitement after joining Danish club Viborg FF in the ongoing transfer window.

The 23-year-old joins on loan until the end of the season from Swedish top-flight side Malmo FF.

Abubakari is expected to play a huge role for Viborg for the rest of the season with his goal scoring prowess.

The former HJK Helsinki star joins on an initial six-months loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.

” I have already got a really good impression of the club and have met some good people, so it feels great to be here. I have spoken to Razak Pimpong after I first heard about the interest from Viborg, and he has told me many good things about both the club and the city, so this has also given me great faith that VFF is the right place for me to be.”

He added: “Here is an exciting project with an offensive style of play and many young players, which seems very attractive to be a part of. I’m looking forward to meeting my teammates and getting started playing, and of course also meeting all the fans, who I’m looking forward to playing for.”

The Ghanaian attacker, who was farmed out on loan to Slovan Bratislava at the beginning of the 2023/23, will now finish the campaign in the Danish top-flight with Viborg.

Abubakari made 27 appearances for Slovan Bratislava in his short spell, scoring four goals and providing an assist.
