Despite Egypt’s continued search for victory in the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Cote d’Ivoire 2023, coach Rui Vitoria remains unfazed.
Following a hard-fought 2-2 draw against Ghana, where his team twice came from behind, Vitoria expressed confidence in his players, applauding their resilience and commitment.
Speaking about the match, he stated, “I have full confidence in my team. We showed great qualities against a revitalized Ghana. The players executed our instructions perfectly. There was room to win the match.”
Addressing concerns about captain Mohamed Salah’s injury, Vitoria admitted uncertainty about its seriousness, saying, “At the moment, I cannot comment on the seriousness of his injury. Of course, we are worried, and we hope it is not too serious. We will have to keep the same state of mind for the next match against Cape Verde.” Despite the challenges, Vitoria maintains optimism and a determined outlook for the upcoming fixtures.
