Accra-based Hot FM has reported that Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has handed a call-up to former Germany U19 defender Patric Pfeiffer for the 2023 AFCON qualifiers against Madagascar and the Central African Republic.
The 22-year-old central defender is a former Germany youth international, having played for the European giants’ U18 and U19 sides.
Pfeiffer has scored 1 goal in 31 appearances for Darmstadt in the German second-tier league.
Pfeiffer was born to Ghanaian parents in Hamburg and started his career with Bramfeld Youth before joining Hamburg in 2013.
According to sources in Accra, Addo has engaged the player and is set to name him in the squad for the upcoming games.
