Ghana FA implements robust security measures for Black Stars’ Kumasi training camp

In an unwavering commitment to ensure the safety and focused preparation of the national squad, Henry Asante, spokesperson for the Ghana Football Association (GFA), outlined ambitious security measures being implemented in collaboration with the police and military forces.

Originally planned for South Africa, the Black Stars’ training camp has been relocated to Kumasi, prompting a thorough reassessment of security arrangements to align with the new setting.

Asante emphasized the meticulous steps taken to fortify security at the hotel where the team will be based, underlining the importance of creating an optimal environment for the players.

The national team is gearing up for a friendly match against Namibia, a crucial fixture designed to hone their competitive edge before the main event.

As preparations intensify, Asante assured that an advance team is already in Kumasi, working diligently to set the stage for a seamless and secure training camp.

“Yesterday immediately after we finished with the meeting the FA is taking steps to beef up security at the hotel as we speak I am sure you don’t know where the team will camp you don’t know which hotel we will come in Kumasi,” he told Joy Sports.

“We want to try as much as possible to prepare the grounds an so there is an advance team in Kumasi working on putting things in place.

“We have spoken to the security apparatus to provide us with top-quality security, and here I am talking about joint police and military, so that we will be able to get that atmosphere we are looking for”.
