Ghanaian striker Daniel Agyei grabs assist in Leyton Orient’s win against Charlton Athletic

English-born Ghanaian striker Daniel Agyei grabbed an assist in Leyton Orient’s 1-0 win against Charlton Athletic in League One on Boxing Day.

Daniel Agyei came on in the 78th minute at the Gaughan Group Stadium.

The ball fell to Shaq Forde after Theo Archibald whipped in a corner for Orient in the third minute, but the Watford loanee couldn’t direct his shot on goal.

The Addicks came within a few yards of scoring again minutes later, with Scott Fraser firing from the outside of the 18-yard box, but Brynn was able to resist the visitors once again.

At the start of the second half, Orient was putting pressure on the visitors, but as Corey Blackett-Taylor sought to break, Dan Happe tripped him and was awarded the first yellow card of the game.

Just off the bench, Dan Agyei delivered the ball into the Charlton area, where he found Omar Beckles, who scored superbly beyond Maynard-Brewer, sending Gaughan Group Stadium into excitement.

Daniel Agyei has made six appearances and assisted one goal in League One this season.
