Former Ghana international Laryea Kingston is optimistic all hope is not lost for the Black Stars at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
He said that a solid technical team can change the fortunes of the Black Stars in Ivory Coast with 21 days to the start of the tournament.
“Technical team play a major role in modern football. Pep Guardiola, wherever he goes, you’ll see his hand writing there,” Laryea told Sienu TV.
“For me, I think we should have a solid technical team and it will reflect on the team.
“If we have a technical team that is selling the idea, going straight to the point and letting the players understand what they are bringing on board, I think something can change.”
Ghana is set to open their group stage campaign against Cape Verde on Sunday, January 14, 2024.
The Black Stars will then play against record champions Egypt in their second group match against Egypt in four days before wrapping up the group face against Mozambique on January 22.
