We will make sure we don’t concede against Yanga – Medeama coach Evans Adotey

In a strategic shift ahead of their crucial clash with Yanga in the 2023/24 CAF Champions League, Medeama coach Evans Adotey has vowed that his team will tighten their defensive ranks, aiming to prevent any concessions.

Adotey expressed his concern about recent lapses in the team’s defense but assured fans that rigorous training sessions focused on shoring up their backline have been a priority in the lead-up to Friday’s encounter.

As Medeama readies to face Yanga at the Baba Yara Stadium on December 8th at 16:00 GMT, this defensive overhaul comes on the heels of a challenging start in Group D, where the Ghanaian champions suffered a 3-0 defeat against Al Ahly but bounced back with a 2-1 victory over CR Belouizdad.

“Well we have been conceding off late in four, five games including three locals…two local games we conceded a goal at my own backyard against Chelsea 1-0, Kotoko 1-0 gainst Medeama, Al Ahly 3 goals and Belouizdad we conceded a goal,” Evans Adotey said ahead of the game.

“So far we have worked on making sure we don’t concede this time,” he added.
