The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced the appointment of match officials for Round 2 of the group stages in the 2023/24 CAF Champions League campaign.
Gambian referee Lamin N. Jammeh has been chosen as the center referee for the game between Medeama SC and Belouizdad.
His team of officials will include assistant referees Abdul Aziz Bollel Jawo (Assistant I), Omar Danke (Assistant II), and Alhasan Baboucarr Bass (Fourth Referee), all hailing from Gambia.
The Match Commissioner for the fixture will be Rene Williams Sere from Cote D’Ivoire.
Further appointments include Peter Elgam Edibe as Referee Assessor from Nigeria, Ozoemena Joseph Chwuku as General Coordinator, also from Nigeria, and Ibrahim Saanie Daara as Media Officer from Ghana.
The Ghanaian champions, seeking redemption after a 3-0 loss to Al Ahly in Round 1, are determined to secure a victory against Belouizdad in the second group game.
The highly anticipated match is scheduled to take place on Friday, December 1, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
