Former Sivasspor defender, John Boye, has lauded Alexander Djiku for his exceptional performance in the ongoing Turkish Super Lig.
Djiku, center-back, has proven to be a key asset for Fenerbahce since his transfer from Strasburg in the French Ligue 1 during the summer.
Boye notes Djiku’s crucial role in bolstering Fenerbahce’s defense during an impressive streak of 18 consecutive wins, despite facing a temporary setback due to injury.
Djiku’s return marked a triumphant victory against Fatih Karagumruk this past Sunday.
“I’m very happy for him. I was very impressed with his performance at Fenerbahçe. I congratulate him, I hope he continues like this,” he added.
Djiku is expected to be fully fit for his outfit to be able to make Ghana coach Chris Hughton’s squad for the Africa Cup of nations in Ivory Coast next year.
