Ghana hot-shot Abdul Majeed Waris kept his impressive scoring run in the Swedish Allsvenskan by registering the third for BK Hacken in their 3-0 thrashing of DjurgÃ¥rden at their own backyard on Friday.Â
Waris, 20, put the nail in DjurgÃ¥rden’s coffin in the 81st minute after Bjorn Anklev and Dioh WIlliams had given Peter Gerhardsson’s side a 2-0 cushion.
The red-hot former hit-man collected a through pass from Swede international David Frolund inside the box and darted a fierce drive past the hosts’ goalkeeper.
Waris’ Ghanaian team-mate Nasiru Mohammed was introduced with 14 minutes remaining to replace Liberian international Dioh Williams.
He has taken his league tally to 19 and leads the scorers chart with 7 goals better than second-placed Alfredh Finnbogason.
Hacken have toppled Elfsborg from the top of the table.
