Rak-Sakyi’s injury is a massive blow – Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson

Crystal Palace manager, Roy Hodgson has expressed worry about the injury of youngster Jesurun Rak-Sakyi.

The England-born attacker of Ghanaian descent picked up a hamstring injury in training last Thursday and missed the team’s 2-0 victory over Burnley on Saturday.

Speaking after the game, Palace manager Roy Hodgson said the injury looks bad and the player could be out for several weeks.

He said losing Rak-Sakyi to injury is a massive blow.

“It is bad. We don’t know 100 per cent. We’re not talking a week or two — we’re probably talking longer than that. It’s a real blow,” Roy Hodgson said.

The Crystal Palace manager continued, “Just as you get Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise back almost into the fold, you lose another player who we think is very important for us in our attacking play. We regained two and lost one. I would have preferred to have all three.”

Up next for Crystal Palace, the team will take on Everton on Saturday, November 11, at Selhurst Park.
