Hearts of Oak’s board are to make a crucial decision this week regarding the future of their head coach, Martin Koopman.
The Dutch manager was appointed on a one-year deal ahead of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League campaign.
However, the team’s performance has left much to be desired, with just five points from the first five games of the season.
They currently find themselves in a precarious 16th place on the league table. The lackluster start to the season has raised questions about the suitability of Koopman as the team’s head coach.
Notably, the Phobians have struggled in front of goal, managing to score just once so far this season. That solitary goal came courtesy of Ramos Kashala in their week two fixture against Nsoatreman FC at the Accra Sports Stadium.
As the club grapples with its underwhelming start and offensive woes, the impending decision on Martin Koopman’s future as head coach looms large.
Hearts of Oak’s leadership will need to weigh their options carefully to determine the best course of action to turn their season around.
