Agyemang-Badu points to ‘lack of teamwork’ as root cause of Black Stars’ recent poor performance

Former Ghana International Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has said that ‘lack of team work” is the cause of the current Black Stars poor performance.

His comments come after the four-time African champions endured a very tough October international break, losing all two games and conceding 6 goals in the process.

Ghana succumbed to a 2-0 defeat to Mexico at the Bank of America Stadium last Saturday before their heavy defeat against The USA at the Geodis Stadium.

Speaking on Fox FM Badu said:

“There are plenty quality players in the current Black Stars but the problem is that, the team is based more on individual brilliance and so if some two or three of our talismans failed to show up or play well in our games then we struggle. That is the main issue we have now.” he concluded.

The Black Stars will be back in November for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Madagascar and Comoros.
