The head coach of the Egyptian male national team, Rui Carlos Pinho da Vitória, has expressed his team’s readiness to face Ghana in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The seven-time African champions are drawn in Group B with Ghana, Cape Verde, and Mozambique.
Speaking after the draw, the Portuguese trainer conceded that Ghana is a difficult side but confident of sailing out of the group.
“We are in a strong group with teams that have very good players. Ghana are fierce competitors for the title but we are Egypt and ready.” he stated
Egypt will engage Ghana in the second group game at the Stade Felix Houphouet-Boigny in the Ivorian capital on January 18, 2024.
The tournament will kick off on January 13 and end on 11th February 2024.
