The President of CAF, Dr. Patrice Motsepe is positive the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) “will be the best” in the history of the tournament.
The 34th edition of the continental showpiece is scheduled to be hosted in Ivory Coast next year.
The official draw of the tournament was held in Abidjan on Thursday.
“We have no doubt that the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Ivory Coast will be the very best in the history of the tournament,” the CAF President said at the ceremony.
“The 24 countries that are here they are winners already.”
The continental event is scheduled to take place in Cote d’Ivoire from January 13 to February 11, 2024.
