Dreams FC head coach Karim Zito has emphasized the valuable lessons learned from their preliminary matches in the CAF Confederations Cup campaign.
The Ghana FA Cup champions initially faced Milo FC in the preliminary leg and advanced with a 3-2 aggregate scoreline.
In the second round of preliminaries, Dreams FC squared off against Sierra Leonean side FC Kallon, again securing a 3-2 aggregate scoreline to qualify for the group stage for the first time in their history.
Coach Zito expressed that these qualifying games have provided them with crucial experience and insights. He stressed their commitment to making a positive impact with the right training and attitude.
He stated, “Now in terms of experience, I may say, the two or four matches that we played in the qualifiers have also helped us to see the pros and cons of how the group stage is being played.” Zito acknowledged that the level of play elevates significantly from the knockout stage to the group stage.
Despite the challenges ahead, Zito remains optimistic, saying, “But with good attitude and good training, we will also go there and make a meaningful impact.”
Dreams FC is eagerly awaiting the draw to determine their group stage opponents, scheduled for Friday, October 6.
