George Afriyie has been granted a 3-day appeal window following his disqualification from the upcoming GFA Presidential elections.
The Electoral Committee of the GFA, after a thorough review of his eligibility, made the decision to disqualify him from the race.
The Committee cited that Afriyie’s application was unsuccessful due to his breach of “Article 13(2)(j) of the Ghana Football Association statutes, 2019,” as well as his “failure to provide the required number of Ghana Football Association members to support your candidature.”
In response to his disqualification, George Afriyie has been granted a three-day appeal window to contest the decision.
This period allows him to provide additional documentation or clarifications to address the concerns raised by the Electoral Committee.
The Elective Congress is scheduled to take place on September 27 at the Redaach Memorial Hotel in Tamale.
