Chris Hughton has announced a 25-man squad for Ghana’s final round of Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Central African Republic.
The match is set to take place on September 7th at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
Ghana’s mission is crystal clear: they must secure victory to secure their place in the Cote d’Ivoire edition of the Africa Cup of Nations.
Heading into this crucial fixture, the Black Stars currently leads Group E with 9 points, holding a one-point advantage over second-placed Angola and a two-point lead over the Central African Republic in third position.
Ghana will have to deal with the absence of Vice-captain and Arsenal star Thomas Partey. According to his club, the player picked up an injury in training and could be on the sidelines for a while, however the Black Stars medical teams is monitoring the situation.
