During the launch ceremony of the new Premier League season in Koforidua, Eastern Region, Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku unveiled an initiative whereby the top 10 clubs concluding the 2023/24 football season will collectively share over GHS1 million.
Under this plan, the league winner for the upcoming season is poised to secure an impressive GHS500,000, with the second and third place teams receiving GHS200,000 and GHS100,000 respectively. Kurt Okraku emphasized that this injection of funds into the Ghana Premier League is intended to heighten its competitiveness.
“To enhance the league’s competitiveness, the Ghana Football Association will extend rewards to teams ranking from first to tenth place in the 2023/24 betPawa Premier League,” highlighted Kurt Okraku.
The commencement of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season is scheduled for September.
