During the launch event for the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season held in Koforidua, Eastern Region, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) disclosed the slated prize money.
GFA President Kurt Okraku unveiled that the winner of the upcoming Ghana Premier League campaign will secure a substantial reward of GHS500,000.
Furthermore, the GFA is introducing a system to reward the top 10 clubs in the league, aiming to enhance the league’s competitiveness.
“To enhance the competitiveness of the league, the Ghana Football Association will allocate rewards to the teams ranking from first to tenth place in the 2023/24 betPawa Premier League,” affirmed GFA President Kurt E.S Okraku during the launch.
The preceding season saw Medeama SC, the league’s winner, pocketing GHS300,000 as prize money. This boost to GHS500,000 is poised to infuse heightened competition into the league for the upcoming season.
