Nations FC will play Bofoakwa Tano in the first semifinal of the 2023 Division One League Super Cup at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports complex on Tuesday, August 29, 2023.

Nations FC amassed 7 points from a possible 9 – to qualify from a very difficult Group that comprised of Heart of Lions, Techiman Eleven Wonders and Koforidua Semper FI. The newly promoted Premier League side were off to a flying start against Heart of Lions (1-0) but were stopped their tracks by Eleven Wonders (2-2) in the second match before rallying to a 2-0 win over Semper FI to top the Group with 7 points.

On the other hand Bofoakwa Tano recovered from an opening day defeat to Skyy FC as they gathered 6 points to finish second in Group B following victories against Young Apostles and Nzema Kotoko.

The match is scheduled for 1pm kick and will stream on the YouTube page of the Ghana Football Association.

Meanwhile former champions Skyy FC will clash with Kpando Heart of Lions in the other semifinal tie.

Though Skyy FC are the only unbeaten side in the tournament, Kpando Heart of Lions have heavily impressed in the off season tournament having recovered from a 1-0 loss to Nations FC in their opening match.

Skyy FC scored 4 goals and conceded none in the Group stage and remains the only side with a 100% record – three wins from three matches – setting up a juicy game against Heart of Lions – who scored 6 and conceded 3 in the Group stage.

This semifinal game will kick off at 4pm and stream live on the YouTube page of the Ghana Football Association.

Winners of the two semifinals make it to the final on Friday, September 01, 2023.
