Accra Lions assistant coach James Francis was happy with the performance of his players despite their defeat to Hearts of Oak in the betPawa Premier League on Wednesday.
Linda Mtange made the difference at the Accra Sports stadium as the Phobians recorded a narrow 1-0 win.
After a scoreless first half, the Congolese forward scored the winning goal in the 65th minute mark after smashing in a shot past goalkeeper Andrew Boateng and his backline.
“We’ve been fantastic in terms of keeping possession. Overall, very pleased with the performance but obviously the result is disappointing. We’ve got two days to prepare for King Faisal clash, so we will go back and prepare” he said after the game.
Accra Lions are currently 5th on the table with 38 points after 24 matches.
