Ex-Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has joined the growing list of high-profile footballers that have flooded social media to pay tribute to the late Christian Atsu.
Atsu was confirmed dead by his agent in the early hours of Saturday morning following a devastating earthquake in Turkey two weeks ago.
The 31 year old is among over 40,000 victims across southern Turkey and northern Syria following the two initial earthquakes and the aftershocks.
Atsu was capped 65 for Black Stars between 2012 and 2019, including the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, where he was named player of the tournament.
His remains is currently on its way to Ghana to be buried in his home town.
