We deserve to lose – Accra Lions coach Ibrahim Tanko after heavy defeat to Kotoko

Head coach of Accra Lions Ibrahim Tanko has admitted his side deserved to lose against Asante Kotoko.

The Porcupine Warriors inflicted a 4-0 win over Accra Lions in matchday 16 of the Ghana Premier League on Monday.

Goals from Enoch Morison, Rashid Nortey and Steve Mukwala’s brace ensured Kotoko pick all points at stake at the Baba Yara Stadium.

After the game, the former assistant coach of the Black Stars asserted his side deserved to lose than to even pick a point.

“We deserve to lose than I think to deserve even a point. Kotoko is a better side and so they deserve to win of course”

“I think is a very young team and as you said they need experience but I don’t know if the name Kotoko just came over them. I mean this is Kotoko, we lost to a respected team so we will go for the next game”
