Ghana striker Kwame Peprah enjoyed a goalscoring debut for loan club Maritzburg United in the South Africa Premiership on Friday.
In what ended in a 1-1 draw against AmaZulu, the 22-year-old was given his first start by his former Orlando Pirates coach Fadllu Davids with whom he had reunited in January.
And it was a dream start for Peprah as he headed home from a set piece in the 32nd minute to break the deadlock.
A corner was not dealt with by the AmaZulu defense, resulting in the ball falling to midfielder Kimvuidi Karim who floated it back into the box for Peprah to score with a diving header.
The Team of Choice looked like sealing the three points until Guily Manziba levelled matters for the hosts deep into injury time.
Maritzburg United – without a win in two games – remain 14th on the log with 21 points.
