2022/23 Ghana Premier League: Week 15 Match Preview – Hearts of Oak vs Legon Cities

Hearts of Oak will be welcoming Legon Cities in the midweek fixture as they hope to maintain their winning run in the Ghana Premier League.

The Phobians are going into Wednesday’s game on the back of a 1-0 away win over Medeama in Tarkwa last Saturday after a back to back draws.

The Premier League giants broke the jinx to win at Akoon Park for the first time since 2016, courtesy Kwadwo Obeng Jnr’s solitary strike.

Slavko Matic’s side have managed two wins, two draws and one defeat in their last five Ghana Premier League games.

They sit 3rd spot with 24 points after 14 matches into the domestic top-flight campaign.

Legon Cities remain winless in their last four matches and will hope to change the narrative when they lock horns with the Phobians in matchday 15 of the Premier League.

Maxwell Konadu has come under intense pressure following a defeat to Bechem United on home turf last weekend.

He will have to negotiate for points against the Rainbow boys to salvage his job.

The Royals have managed one win, one defeat and three draws in their last five games in the league.

Legon Cities are 12th on the league table with 17 points after 14 matches so far.
