Elmina sharks have appointed Ernest Thompson Quartey as new head coach following the sacking of Mallam Yahaya.
Sharks, who are aiming to qualify for Ghana’s top-flight competition after being relegated last year, are suffering in the Division One League.
They lost their last match at home to Kenpong Academy in Zone Two.
“Elmina Sharks football Club is delighted to welcome Ernest Thompson Quartey as new head coach, joining us to bring his progressive football and innovative coaching to the club.” a press release by the club Communication department.
Thompson, 56, is expected to lead the club to success in the access Bank Division One League campaign.
