Hearts coach Slavko Matic urges fans to get behind their team after FA Cup exit

Hearts of Oak coach Slavko Matic has rallied support for his players following their shocking exit in the MTN FA Cup on Sunday.

The defending champions were dumped out of the competition in the Round of 32 after a 1-0 defeat to Dreams FC at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Agyenim Boateng Mensah‘s solitary strike early in the game was enough to hand the Still Believe lads a famous victory over their city-rivals.

Speaking after the game, the Serbian trainer urged the club’s supporters to get behind the team during this difficult patch.

“The fans should support the team not me, they don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes”, the 46 year old told the media.

The Phobians will now turn their attention to the Ghana Premier League where they travel to Tarkwa to face Medeama SC on Matchday 14.
