Ghana FA Executive Committee member, Dr. Tony Aubynn says that the current players should be given time to excel at major tournaments.
Ghana was eliminated from the competition as a result of their loss against Uruguay in the last group H match at the Janoub Stadium Al Walkrah in Qatar.
With three points from the three games, the club was stuck at the bottom of Group H.
Aubynn is confident the team will come good in subsequent competitions.
“The materials available was what the coaches used, the FA did everything right (via motivation), we just didn’t do well. Will the Germany also apologize for their exit?” Dr. Tony quizzed.
“Because people tipped them(Germany) as favorite but were eliminated, they told themselves it’s a building process same as Morocco. We just need to give our players the needed time since we are building.”
Otto Addo resigned as the head coach of Ghana and will resume his position as talent coach at Bundesliga team Dortmund.
The Black Stars’ next goal is to earn a spot in the Ivory Coast-hosted 2024 Africa Cup of Nations.
