The final round of Group C games is scheduled to go down on Wednesday night, with Poland and Argentina going head-to-head at Stadium 974.

With two games in the books, Poland find themselves atop Group D – one point clear of second-place Argentina and third-place Saudi Arabia.

Can Robert Lewandowski and co. cap off their group-stage campaign with a win? Or will Lionel Messi and his team-mates seal the deal on Wednesday?

Poland played out a goalless draw with Mexico in their opening match. Despite seeing just 39% possession, they managed to hold on to snatch a point.

Last time out, the Poles claimed a 2-0 win against Saudi Arabia – thanks to goals from Piotr Zielinski and Robert Lewandowski.

Poland head into Wednesday’s clash on a four-game unbeaten streak in all competitions. When you look at the bigger picture, they have lost just three of their previous 12 outings.

That said, they could struggle to contain Argentina after allowing Saudi Arabia to record 16 shots on Saturday.

As for Argentina, they suffered a shock 2-1 defeat to Saudi Arabia in their first game – despite racking up 70% possession and 15 shots.

However, they bounced back with a 2-0 victory over Mexico last time out. Lionel Messi scored his second goal of the tournament before Enzo Fernandez completed the scoring.

It is worth remembering that Argentina went into their clash against Saudi Arabia on a mammoth 36-game unbeaten streak across all competitions.

Having avoided defeat in the first half of each of their previous 28 clashes, the South Americans champions will be confident of starting – and finishing – strongly on Wednesday.

Head-to-head: Poland have only managed to win three of their 11 meetings with Argentina over the years, suffering six losses in the process.

The two sides have faced each other just once since 1992, with Poland beating Argentina 2-1 in a friendly back in 2011.

Team news: Arkadiusz Milik could start alongside Lewandowski on Wednesday following a successful attacking outing for Poland last time out.

As for Argentina, Brighton’s Alexis Mac Allister could get the nod in midfield again. Lautaro Martinez is expected to partner Messi in attack.

Although Poland gave a good account of themselves against Saudi Arabia, Argentina should be too strong for the Poles.

Forebet predicts that both teams will score on Wednesday. However, Argentina are expected to outscore Poland.
