Asamoah Gyan has jumped into the defense of Black Stars striker Inaki Williams after South Korea clash in the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Ghana beat Korea 3-2 at the Education city Stadium Al Rayyan on Monday in group H second game.
But Inaki did not muster a shot on target and further missed his kick following a cross from Gideon Mensah but fortunately, Kudus was there to finish.
However, by and large, Gyan has been happy with the forward.
“Inaki has been brilliant. He has worked so hard for the team and has shown he’s willing to die for the shirt,” he said on SuperSport.
“He just needs to adjust a few things concerning his movement and will be fine. He’s the sort of player every coach would love in his team and I’ve been impressed with him overall,” he said.
Inaki switched his nationality from Spain and featured for Ghana in an international friendly against Brazil as his debut.
Ghana will wrap up group H with South American giant Uruguay on December 2 at the Janoub Stadium Al Walkrah in Qatar.
