Ghana youth star Abeiku Quansah has assuaged fear about his health after being rushed to the hospital on Thursday night during a Ukrainian Premier League.
His club Arsenal Kiev reported on Friday that the former Ghana U20 star had suffered a serious injury after breaking his cervical vertebrae in the final league game at Kryvbas.
However, Quansah claims the injury was not serious as reported.
“I was okay so I don’t know why they kept this thing long. I told them I will be okay and they agreed to let me go home. I’m very fit,” the 21-year-old told Accra-based Joy FM.
“I went for an air ball with a one player and he used his elbow on my neck so I couldn’t control myself and I told them I can’t play for the rushed me to the hospital.”
Quansah helped Arsenal Kiev to secure a Europa League spot after finishing fifth.
