Ghana midfielder Baba Iddrisu has been ruled out of the World Cup in Qatar due to a muscle injury.

The 26 year old limped off during Mallorca’s clash against Atlético Madrid in La Liga on Wednesday.

Further test conducted by the club’s medical team have confirmed that Baba Iddrisu will not be fit in time for the global showpiece which kicks off in seven days.

The latest development comes as a big blow for Ghana who will also be missing first and second choice goalkeepers Joojo Wollacott and Richard Ofori through injuries.

Meanwhile, there is serious doubt regarding Freiburg midfielder Daniel Kofi Kyere – who missed his side’s Bundesliga win over Cologne at the weekend.

Black Stars head coach Otto Addo is expected to name his final 26-man squad on Monday.
