Coach Louis Van Gaal has included Jeremie Frimpong in Netherlands’ 26-man squad for 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
This means Ghana’s chances of acquiring Jeremie Frimpong is over as the player will be representing the Dutch side.
Elsewhere, forward Brian Brobbey, who is also of Ghanaian descent, didn’t make coach Louis van Gaal’s cut.
Frimpong has five goals in 18 appearances across all competitions as a right-back.
The World Cup will start on November 20 and Netherlands will play Senegal, Qatar and Ecuador in the group stage while Ghana have dates with Portugal, South Korea and Uruguay.
