Stromsgodset are confident that their new Ghanaian players Bismark Adjei Boateng and Enock Kwakwa are capable of coping with the rigours of the Norwegian top-flight.

The Norwegian league leaders have signed the two youngsters on loan from English giants Manchester City.

The two players will join Stromsgodset in the summer as they will move from Manchester City’s academy.

The two Ghanain players, discovered by the Right to Dream Academy in Akosombo, will be following in the footsteps of Mohammed Abu and Razak Nuhu who moved from the Ghanaian academy to City before they were signed by Stromsgodset.

Having observed the two players some months ago, Stromsgodset coach Ron Deila says Boateng and Kwakwa will live up to expectation.

“We would not have brought them here if we did not believe they could become top players,” said Deila.

“They are of the same raw material as the other two we have here now, so it looks good.”

Boateng and Kwakwa will move to Norway in the summer as they are currently with Manchester City’s academy having spent some time with Stromsgodset earlier in the year.

Boateng is described as an aggressive and confident passing midfielder, while Enock Kwakwa is a left-back.

The stringent work permit regulation in the UK would not allow them to play for the top side of Manchester City.

This means they must play in other European countries where they can get their EU papers sorted to enable them to return to England later.
