Kotoku Royals coach Seth Ablade blames strikers for Hearts of Oak loss

Head coach of Kotoku Royals, Seth Ablade has reiterated his side’s sluggishness in front of goal after a 1-0 defeat to Hearts of Oak on match week five of the Ghana Premier League.

Daniel Afriyie Barnieh scored from the spot to give the Phobians’ the maximum points in Cape Coast as they secured back-to-back wins for the first time this season.

However, coach Ablade believes the outcome could’ve been different if his strikers had made good use of their chances.

“I am happy about the way the players played today. I think the only thing we need to do better is the quality upfront that is what killed us today,” he said after the game.

The defeat sees Kotoku Royals drop to 16th on the league table after five matches played so far.

Kotoku Royals will travel to Kumasi to take on bottom-placed King Faisal at the Baba Yara stadium on match week six of the on-going Ghana Premier League.
