Ghanaian attacker Ernest Asante has received his Player of the Month award in Cyprus.
Asante, who plays for Omonia Nicosia, was visibly excited when he received the award this week in training.
The 33-year-old has been in fine form since recovering from injury and has been the key figure in their battle for survival.
Asante has netted two goals in the relegation play-offs in the Cypriot league as Omonia Nicosia maintained a firm grip on top spot.
The former FC Nordsjaelland player has made five appearances, scoring two goals and providing two assists.
“This is Wellman player of the month. I like to forget the past and look to the future. There is a lot to achieve ahead of me,” he said.
