A report on an Arabic website claimed on the eve of Ghana’s Nations Cup qualifier against Swaziland that the Serbian has signed a one-year renewable contract with them.
But Rajevac is refuting it and is adamant he remains committed to Ghana. “If I had signed for anyone else I would not be here,” he told KickOffGhana.com. “It is not the first time this has been said. It is nonsense.”
Rajavc had been with Ghana throughout the week in Johannesburg and says he is shocked about where the stories of his departure came from.
The Serbian also gave his world to Ghana Football Association president Kwasi Nyantekyie in a brief meeting on Saturday night that there is no truth in the stories, even though the 54-year has yet to append his signature to a new deal that the GFA has proposed.
