But the Portsmouth midfielder who looks set to move on after the club were relegated at the end of last season will have a major career decision to make when the tournament is over with a new club prime on the agenda.
West Ham in England are said to be keenly interested with his former Portsmouth boss Avram Grant now in charge at Upton Park that is looking a possibility even though the midfielder will rather not think about it.
“I really like playing under Grant but for the moment I am not thinking about a new club. I just want to focus on the world cup now, the biggest competition in the world and afterwards I will sit down with my agent and talk about club issues,” he told KickOffGhana.com.
