Black Stars Head Coach Otto Addo has emphatically stated that his team deserved victory against Sudan in their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Thursday.
The West African giants had the lion’s share of the match at the Accra Sports Stadium but squandered numerous chances, settling for a disappointing 0-0 draw against Sudan.
The draw leaves Ghana’s hopes of qualifying for the tournament in Morocco uncertain, with Addo’s side on just two points after three games.
“The chances were there. A lot of chances, but this is football,” Addo said in the post-match press conference.
“Sometimes, it’s very hard for us. We did well, and there’s not much I can say except for the result, and this is the most important thing in football.”
On Tuesday, Ghana will cross swords with Sudan in the reverse fixture in Libya.
