Tickets for Ghana’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Somalia will cost GH₵50, with entry to the VVIP section priced at GH₵100, the National Sports Authority (NSA) has announced.
The match will be played at the Essipong Sports Stadium, where all seated sections will carry the standard GH₵50 ticket price. Supporters wishing to use the VVIP area will pay GH₵100.
Students will be allowed into designated standing areas free of charge as part of an initiative to encourage greater attendance and support for the Black Stars.
They must, however, show valid student identification cards before entering the stadium. The requirement is intended to allow officials to verify eligibility for the free admission.
Ticket sales will open at 10:00 GMT on Tuesday, November 10. The Essipong Sports Stadium will serve as the official and only sales point announced by the NSA.
The authority has advised supporters to buy tickets through the approved outlet and follow the stadium’s seating arrangements to help ensure an orderly matchday.
It has also appealed to fans across the country to attend in large numbers and support Ghana as the Black Stars attempt to recover their position in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign.
Ghana will face Somalia on Wednesday, November 11, with kick-off scheduled for 15:00 GMT. The return fixture will take place at the same venue on Monday, November 16, although Somalia will be designated as the home team for that meeting.
The two fixtures are particularly significant for Ghana after the four-time African champions began their Group C campaign with defeats by Ivory Coast and The Gambia.
Those losses have increased the pressure on the Black Stars to take maximum points from their remaining qualifiers if they are to keep their hopes of reaching the 2027 tournament alive.
Ghana were absent from the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco after an unsuccessful qualifying campaign. They failed to win any of their six matches in that series.
The double-header with Somalia therefore gives Ghana an opportunity to revive their campaign and move closer to a return to Africa’s leading international football tournament.
